Why this blog?

Next week, I will be meeting up with some amazing women who haven't met each other yet.

One is an award winning architect who specialises in environmental design, another is a friend from high school who is an art director, just had a baby and is thinking about going out on her own as a photographer and the other has just come back from New York where she spent most of her 20s, is married with three kids, lectures in Interior Design and co-edits a magazine.

They all live in the same city, sadly not the same one as me, and they haven't met.  Two of them work on the same street.  So I thought it would be nice for us all to get together and for them to get together as there are some obvious synergies.

But it got me thinking about all the amazing women I know.  Women who are creative, entrepreneurial, successful and happy.  Some are married.  Some aren't.  Some have kids.  Some don't.  They're nearly all in their 30s and 40s, like me.

So I want to create a space for women like me, and women like you.  A space to celebrate your creativity and achievements.  To showcase you.  In the coming months, and hopefully years, that's exactly what I'll be doing.  If anyone would like me to profile them then please write to me at lotsofwomenlikeyou@gmail.com
